Black Sage (Salvia mellifera)
Sage Honey
Smooth, herbal, and slow to crystallize.
Size
1 lb glass jar — Seasonal — back when the bloom returns.
Sage Honey comes from the black sage (Salvia mellifera) that grows in the chaparral of California's coastal and foothill country. It is prized for being one of the smoothest, mildest honeys you can find — almost herbal on the nose, with a clean, lingering sweetness. Sage honey is naturally slow to crystallize, keeping its silky texture for a long time in the jar. We harvest it only when the sage bloom allows, so it is genuinely seasonal and sometimes years between good flows. Raw and unfiltered, nothing added.

Absolutely the best honey ever
Absolutely the best honey ever. The sage flavor is smooth and herbal without being sharp. I have not bought any other honey since I found this one!

Great quality sage honey
Great quality sage honey with subtle and pleasant herbal notes. It is milder than I expected, in the best way. I find myself reaching for it more often than my old standby already.
